This Asian inspired dish is made with minimal ingredients and it’s so easy to make. There’s a simple sauce that’s made with hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes and the plant-based sausage adds protein to this meal and to your diet. Enjoy!
Ingredients
2 Beyond Meat Sausages
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 large garlic clove -finely grated
2 large broccoli crowns -cut into medium sized pieces
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
Pinch of red pepper flakes
1 tbsp butter
Directions
- Defrost the Beyond Meat sausages a little bit. About half hour.
- Pre-heat the oven to 325 degrees F.
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the sausages into rounds.
- Place the sausages on the parchment paper in a single layer. Mix often as they cook. Cook for 15-18 minutes.
- While the sausages are in the oven, cook the broccoli.
- Pour the oil in a medium size pan and heat on medium.
- When the oil is heated, add the garlic, and cook for a minute or two.
- Add the broccoli and mix often. Reduce the heat a little if needed.
- As the broccoli cooks, mix together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
-When the broccoli begins to soften, add in the butter.
- When the sausages are cooked, add them to the broccoli.
- When the broccoli is almost cooked to your liking, add in the sauce, and mix well. Cook for a few minutes.
